I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Missouri. I received a Master of Science degree in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. My research focuses on the role of economy in voting behavior, party competition, public opinion and how international factors affect electoral accountability. I am also interested in political methodology using Bayesian and Fisherian statistical inference, hierarchical/multilevel models, spatial econometrics, and Empirical Modeling of Theoretical Implications (EMT). I am particularly interested in applying these models to problems of comparative research and to panel data.
